Each week, psychotherapist-turned-comedian Ely Kreimendahl exploits her therapy skills to talk all-things-shame with a new special guest. Every guest shares a core story of something that once made them spiral HARD, answers both silly and emotionally complicated questions, and even if these conversations are ACCIDENTALLY therapeutic, it's not therapy.... Ely goes ALL IN on sharing her shame, too. Does coming together to laugh at our shame and the often inherently comic absurdity of being human make it all easier to tolerate?! This week I spiraled out with television writer, producer and photographer Amos Mac (Y :The Last Man, Gossip Girl.) We talked beating yourself up when you fail to be a hero, navigating connection when you'd kinda rather escape to an isolated cabin in the woods, and even processed some juicy former roommate drama between us, involving a nosy landlord, a couch hacked into pieces with an AX (!!!) and an extraordinarily pissed off cat. Plus, Amos shares a shame story about desperately yearning for Anne Heche's memoir in the moments after she died (RIP to the incomparable queen Anne Heche.)
